Go to your outlook app ⇒ go to calendar (in mobile app, it’s at the bottom pane)
⇒ Select “Add Calendar”/“Add Shared Calendars” (in mobile app, click on calendar icon on the top left, then click the +)
⇒ Enter the email “doe@cogs.msu.edu” (make sure you are using your MSU account) and press enter.

Network with your peers across disciplines! Come hang out with COGS and enjoy some morning treats. We hold this event approx twice monthly and alternate between various locations on campus and off campus. That way you can check out different spaces in your campus community. We hope to see you!

COGS invites you to come on out and explore with your graduate and professional student peers as we tour one of MSU’s points of pride! Join us for a fun and informative look at Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB). Event is free. Registration is required. (Kindly wait to register for the COGS tour if you are unsure of your schedule to reduce no shows/cancellations. Public tours are always available!)

Getting to the (FRIB TOUR): Detailed instructions for arriving are here: https://frib.msu.edu/contact/visiting-frib.html. You can enter FRIB (640 S. Shaw Lane) at the lobby door in the curved glass section at the NW corner of the building (right next to Chemistry). You must check in at the desk and be on the tour list to participate.
Interested in the FRIB, but can’t make this tour date? No worries! You can reserve a spot on a tour at your convenience! Email: visits@frib.msu.edu or call 517-908-7363 and request to be added to an upcoming tour date. They will help find a date that fits your schedule.
Visit Abrams Planetarium with COGS!
Planetarium Night with COGS: Thursday, November 5th, 2026 at 7 PM
COGS invites you to experience Abrams Planetarium with us on November 5th with an exclusive show, just for you! Discover the wonders of Abrams Planetarium, located in the center of MSU’s campus, with a special FREE show just for MSU graduate and professional students and their accompanied guests. The planetarium hosts a wide range of public programming throughout the year for all ages. This is your chance to check it out! Show lasts approximately 30 minutes and is followed by a 30 minute live presentation of the current evening sky.

Event is free of charge. No pre-registration needed, but in the event that (140) capacity is reached, attendance is first-come, first-served. Event is reserved for MSU graduate & professional students and their accompanied guests.
