- Higher Education Funding(i.e., Increase federal funding for higher education)
- Research Funding(i.e., increase funding for NIH, NSF, DARPA, and other federal research agencies that fund graduate student research. Also, review funding requirements for Graduate Fellows and Assistants)
- International Student Issues(i.e., support for a policy that would provide international advanced degree holders trained in the U.S. with green cards)

COGS Full Council Passes Vote of No Confidence in MSU BoT
At their Full Council meeting held on October 19, 2022, the Michigan State University Council of Graduate Students passed a vote of No Confidence in the MSU Board of Trustees in reaction to recent events culminating in the resignation of President Stanley. Further, the resolution calls for the resignation of the Board. The measure passed with 38 votes in favor, 0 votes against, and 4 abstentions. Each year, Michigan State University compiles a report to capture diversity, equity and inclusion at the institution.
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Report provides an overview of the compositional diversity of MSU students, staff and faculty and DEI initiatives occurring across campus. This year’s report is a compilation of data and brief descriptive narratives for the academic years 2020-21 and 2021-22.

Participate in a town hall to shape MSU’s vision for restroom access
Join the conversation to contribute to the overarching vision for restroom access at Michigan State University. The guiding principles developed will inform the parameters for future improvement projects.
- Introduction by Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer Jabbar R. Bennett, Ph.D.
- Brief Background on MSU’s efforts to increase restroom access for our campus community.
- Overview of the Design Study. Sharing its purpose and objectives.
- Participatory Visioning. Engaging with community members to learn from their ideas and questions through facilitator-led exercises to help inform the overall vision.
