March 21, 2023COGS presents: A Night Under The Stars! Discover the wonders of Abrams Planetarium, located in the center of MSU’s campus, with a special FREE show just for MSU graduate and professional students and their accompanied guests. The planetarium hosts a wide range of public programming throughout the year for all ages. This is your chance to check it out! Show is approximately 1 hour long.
Featured show: Living in Balance: Anishinaabe Star Knowledge highlights Anishinaabe stories of constellations and moons in relation to contemporary insights about environmental changes. Teachings shared by Native Skywatchers Carl Gawboy, William Wilson, and Dr. Annette S. Lee are narrated by Aarin Dokum with Anishinaabemowin translations by Alphonse Pitawanakwat set to art by Elizabeth LaPensée.
Event is free of charge. No pre-registration needed, but in the event that (140) capacity is reached, attendance is first-come, first-served.

March 31, 2023Join us for a fun and informative look at the bounty of resources offered on 2-West, MSU Main Library! We’ll gather first in the Digital Scholarship Lab and meet our hosts. Then we’ll split into smaller groups for an up-close, rotating tour of the following stations:
✔️360 Room at the DSL
✔️Virtual Reality (VR) Room at the DSL
✔️Makecentral – Book publishing, Passport Services…
✔️Makerspace – 3D Printing, Lasercuting, Lending Tech, and more!
Then feel free to explore any of the labs or areas on your own or make a 1-1 appointment for consultation with Library staff if you like!
