Need to reach your COGS representative?  You can check with your department or email the COGS Office: office@cogs.msu.edu (specify your department).

If your academic department is not currently represented in COGS, you may inquire with your department about serving in that capacity of interested.   Please note, COGS does not choose representatives for academic departments – those are chosen by the individual departments.  We can help facilitate that, however, so please feel free to contact us via email at office@cogs.msu.edu. You are welcome to use/share this pdf COGS Rep Flyer if you like. (Must be a currently enrolled graduate or professional student at MSU to participate.)

The Council of Graduate Students (COGS) strives to represent all graduate and professional students at Michigan State University. However, COGS acknowledges that academic department representation may not be sufficient to ensure all voices are heard. Therefore, the COGS Representation Committee will conduct a  review of “New Seat” applications from  Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) serving graduate & professional students from diverse backgrounds & across disciplines.  *Do not apply if you are a GSO for one particular academic department. Please see your academic coordinator for department representation.

If your Graduate Student Organization is comprised of a particular constituency that is broad academically but is not currently represented   and you are seeking to establish a new seat on the COGS full council, please click the button below to complete the COGS GSO Representation Application.
