Conflict is an unavoidable part of life. Whether it’s a disagreement with our advisor or supervisor or personal differences with colleagues, learning to manage and resolve conflict in professional settings is an essential life skill. In this workshop, we will talk about some basic principles of productive confrontation and how to apply them across different contexts. Please register to attend.

On Thursday March 28th we will be hosting a Trivia Night at Harrison Roadhouse Pub at 7pm! This event is free for all graduate & professional students. Tables/teams of 4. Free appetizers and prizes for winners! Guests MUST be registered as there are limited tables and chairs and no room for extra people unfortunately. Ungregistered guests may sit at the bar if room. Registered guests will be seated first and may participate if there are No-Shows.

The COGS Graduate Welfare Committee will host Meg Moore from Graduate Student Life & Wellness for an in-person workshop where you will learn practical skills to help keep you balanced and focused during these busy times. There will be snacks and a chance to meet other graduate students from across campus. Chittenden Hall – 466 W. Circle Drive, #110.

In recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy of living with intention, the 2023 MLK Student Committee within the 2023 MLK Commemorative Committee and Recreational Sports and Fitness will host a Health and Wellness “Spartan Glow and Flow” skating event. The event will promote campus-wide wellness and healthy goal setting grounded in perseverance, purpose, and building community.
Event will be held from 8 p.m.-midnight (EDT), Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, in the IM Sports East. Doors will open at 7p.m. (EDT).
The event will feature Wellness activity stations along with a pop-up roller skating rink. Skates will be provided free of charge to all participants.
Event will also feature an informational Health and Wellness workshop on being proactive for health and wellness for the semester.
Give-aways and food will be provided.
All participants will receive a “A Dreamer’s Mindset” t-shirt while supplies last.
