As instructors we are always looking for ways to motivate students to complete readings and assignments, and to want to attend class. In this session, we are discussing how we can apply theories of motivation in our teaching to increase student engagement and enthusiasm about learning. By the end of this session, you will have some actionable strategies to better support your students’ motivation.

Conflict is an unavoidable part of life. Whether it’s a disagreement with our advisor or supervisor or personal differences with colleagues, learning to manage and resolve conflict in professional settings is an essential life skill. In this workshop, we will talk about some basic principles of productive confrontation and how to apply them across different contexts.
In-person participation is highly encouraged but zoom option is available if you can only join virtually! Please register to attend.
