November 27, 2018This workshop will walk through common job interview process, questions, and etiquette for industry, government, and NGO careers. The workshop will describe the purpose of a job interview: what employers look for and what you should look for during the interview. In addition, the workshop will present ways to prepare for the job interview and provide time to practice common response methods such as STAR and PARK. Finally, the workshop will discuss common etiquette issues surrounding job interviews such as handshakes, follow up communication, and more.

November 30, 2018The job market for PhDs has changed over the past several decades. In the current job market, PhDs find careers inside and outside of traditional faculty roles. Join PhD Career Services and the MSU BEST program to explore some of the careers available to PhDs. We continue the series on November 30 with Dr. Patrick Doran. Doctor. Doran will talk about his career in non-governmental organizations. Lunch will be provided.
