Relax, Replenish, Reconnect, & Soulful Self-Care
@ The Graduate School – Chittenden Hall Commons (Downstairs)
Monday, April 22nd from 10 AM to 4 PM
As the semester ends, we know you are are rushing to complete your projects and to-do lists! To help you hit pause … unwind and regroup, the offices of GROW, Graduate Teaching and COGS have teamed up to offer a Monday line-up of mindful activities and opportunities to holistically engage with ourselves and one another. We hope you’ll join us!
Drop in anytime between 10 AM and 4 PM for tea, snacks, arts and crafts, and activities that ground you during this busy time of year. We’ll be on hand throughout the day to welcome you and help you to connect with us and with one another. Sit back with ambient music, essential oils, and nurture yourself with tea and snacks and connect with fellow graduate & professional students.
All Day Activities Include:
- Friendship bracelets/bead art
- Grad-itude Notes – write uplifting messages to fellow students, or tell faculty/staff/mentors how much they mean to you!
- Coloring pages and other misc. crafts to channel your creative energy
Scheduled Activities:
- 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM: Relaxation Yoga, with Hannah from Yoga State
- *Yoga mats will be provided, while supply lasts
- 11:00 AM to Noon: Therapy Dogs with “Love on a Leash”
- 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM: AWE Walk/Spring Foto Safari around campus led by our own Grad Teaching Office staff!
- 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM: Mindfulness/Grounding Practices with the staff of GROW
- 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM: Origami session – led by Dr. Moore, director of GROW
- 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM: Group board/card games
