Employers are looking to hire people with tangible and transferab le leadership experience. The Leadership Academy professional development series will help you understand and develop who you are as a leader, show you different leadership perspectives, and give you exposure to leadersh ip in practice. These regular workshops help participants engage with adva nced leadership concepts through discussions with leaders on and off campu s. These workshops will be a deep dive into social change and action-orien ted leadership with sessions utilizing multiple leadership frameworks, in cluding the Social Change Model of Leadership, Emotionally Intelligent Le adership, Kolb’s experiential learning cycle and the T-shaped Professiona l model. Each session will diver more deeply into an aspect of leadership development and skill-building from these models. Note: This series is ope n to all graduate students, professional students, and postdocs. You do not have to be a member of the 2020 Leadership Academy Cohort to attend.
