2025 Referendum for Major Governing Org: Council of Graduate Students

Every three years, COGS must renew their tax. We are asking you to VOTE YES on renewing the tax that supports your student governing body, COGS:  $11 for fall and $11 for spring and $5 for summer semesters.  This reflects no change to the existing tax, but simply renews it for another three years.

This tax supports all the activities of COGS including assembly/full council, eboard, and their advocacy work, social & academic support events (from large events such as the COGS Graduate Academic Conference and Fall Welcome Celebration, to our regular Coffee & Connection and Craft & Connection series, and tailgates, ice skating, planetarium and many other events planned by our Eboard and committees throughout the year. It helps fund COGS Conference and GSO funding awards, student legal services, Student Rights Advocate, subsidized group Wharton show tickets and more.

The following tax collection and major governing organizations will be conducting a tax referendum during the Spring 2025 Semester.

• Council of Graduate Students (COGS) – Tax Renewal
• Council of Medical Students (COMS) – Tax Renewal
• Owen Graduate Association (OGA) – Tax Renewal
• University Apartment Council of Resident (UACOR) – Tax Reinstatement

Polls will be open on opens Monday March 31 at Noon and closes Sunday April 6 at 11:59pm
