I am a current fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. I study the pathogen Listeria monocytogenes and its effects on metabolism in the placenta during pregnancy-associated infection. I received my bachelors degree in biology in 2017 from Middle Tennessee State University, where I was also a majorette in the marching band! I also have two very cute cats named Louis and Charlie. I’m happy to serve as the MMG COGS rep this year!
