Diversity Isn't Just Black and White
The Council of Graduate Students will be hosting a 1 day workshop on March 18 from 9 AM- 4 PM to provide awareness and training on the topics of diversity, inclusion and sensitivity, including topics of code switching, racial and social profiling, cultural appropriation, and privilege. This will aid in fostering a campus environment that’s more inclusive and supportive for students in the MSU community. To register, click here.
The workshop Facilitator is Alex Lange of the LBGT Resource Center and the Keynote will be delivered by Dr. Chezare Warren from the Department of Teacher Education.
This year`s workshop will include a special performance by the Transforming Theater Ensemble.
Breakfast and Lunch will be provided. A Certificate of Attendance will be available from the COGS Office after the workshop for those who register and attend. Several prizes will be raffled off during the workshop including $25 in Eat-at-State bucks.
