COGS Disciplinary Leadership Award
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE ELECTRONICALLY ONLY by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org BY NOVEMBER 26, 2014
For more information visit the Graduate School Website HERE
In 2010, the MSU Council of Graduate Students (COGS) established an endowment to recognize disciplinary leadership by graduate and grad-professional students. The Graduate School provides additional funds (2011-2015) to increase the number of awards as this initiative begins. Graduate students regularly (not provisionally or lifelong) enrolled in a graduate or grad-professional program at MSU and who are in good standing in their programs may apply for the COGS Disciplinary Leadership Award.
Accepting this award may affect any federal loans that you have.
COGS Childcare Endowment
Graduate students who would like to apply for COGS Childcare Endowment should check the box on the MSU Child Care Grant application indicating your interest in being considered for these funds. To maximize the number of students eligible for childcare assistance, priority will be given to students who are ineligible for the MSU Child Care Grant. Please note that students must be enrolled at least half time in a degree granting program and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this program as well. This program is open to international graduate students, and law students.

Each Department may apply for GSO Support Funding once per fiscal year (July 1st – June 30th). Funding will only be granted for an eligible meeting and eligible expenses. Eligible expenses do not include the purchase of alcoholic beverages, travel expenses, lodging costs, and non-meeting related goods and services. COGS, in its sole discretion, will make all decisions regarding eligibility of items. Applicants must submit an estimated budget for the eligible meeting (the budget can exceed $50, however $50 is the maximum reimbursement).
