The purpose of this one-day program will be to provide an overview of policies and hands- on problem solving related to important issues including: accessibility o f course materials, accommodations for person with disabilities, promoti ng student privacy & academic integrity, and promoting environments free of sexual discrimination and harassment. There will be breakout sessions o n important issues related to an instructor’s role in supporting student m ental health, engaging in difficult conversations about diversity and dif ference, and accessing and using digital technologies to enhance teaching . At the end of the day participants will be invited to attend the key-not e address on student success as a part of another program - the student su ccess data summit. PLEASE NOTE: these topics will also be covered in Augu st as part of existing faculty teaching boot-camp and TA orientations.
