Nguyen is a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Physiology. Her study involves the understanding of how pancreatic insulin-secreting cells reacts to inflammatory stimuli in type 1 diabetes
Sara Hugentobler is a PhD Student in Integrative Biology and Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior. She is currently studying the genetics of Chinook Salmon and how that relates to the management of the species. Prior to coming to MSU, she got a masters in Marine Conservation and Policy at Stony Brook University, and spent some time working as an academic advisor for the Biological Sciences at University of Utah. She is extremely excited to serve the MSU community as Integrative Biology Graduate Student Representative to COGS.
I am a 3rd year PhD Student in the Program in Mathematics Education. I grew up in Utah and got my bachelors degrees in math and physics and my masters in science education from Utah State University. I taught middle school math and science before deciding to pursue my PhD. When I have free time, I love hanging out with my husband and two young daughters.
